It’s hard to believe but it’s already been 1 year since the Form First Run Club was started on May 1st, 2011.
So to celebrate we are planning a sunrise run followed by a beach party!
We will have some awesome partners for this event. Dry Goods will be sampling their anti-chaffing solution for runners before they run. 82Go Water will provide their Water Bods for Hydration during the run. React Energy will sample their all-natural energy supplements pre and post-run. Live Ultimate will have their 4 awesome flavors of Green Tea Plus beverages for post-race refreshment. And last but definitely not least, Sweat Republic will be there as the official media source taking photographs and connecting with local runners about events and products they enjoy to use.
Here’s the plan:
We will meet at 1 Washington Avenue (South Point Park) in Miami Beach at the entrance to the Smith and Wollensky parking lot at 7am on Sunday May 6th. There is free street meter parking in the area until 9am.
The run will start at 7:15am and be led by pacers. The route will be on the hard-packed sand until 5th Street where we will take the serpentine boardwalk to 47th St, turnaround and take the same route back to the beach on 1st St where a few tents will be setup on the sand for the beach party. The route is about 8 miles. You can add on more or run less depending on your needs.
The post-run beach party will be near the 1st Street lifeguard stand. Remember to pay the meter if you plan to stay past 9am. Look for the React Energy and Sweat Republic tent.
We will have lots of fruit, liquids and hopefully sun for us all to enjoy! Please bring a little fruit to share and if you’d like to stay for the beach party and swim, bring a swimsuit, towel, goggles (optional) and sunscreen. If you have a beach umbrella and/or chair you can also bring that.
Please RSVP to the event and spread the word. Anyone is invited to come. We will have prizes given away at the post-run beach party by our sponsors so we encourage everyone to stay until at least 9:30am.

Miami’s very own, John Santiago conquered the 2012 London Marathon
and kept COOL & DRY while doing so!
The notorious damp climate across the pond could not hold John back from
setting a personal record of 3:18:08.
